President and Vice Presidents

In charge of the society at large:

Vetting and approval of proposals for all LSS events (that is >30 every year across 6 departments) and follow ups to remarks made in vetting
Point of contact with staff advisors regarding issues, if any
Planning and hosting all Core organised events
Physically attending LSS events and connecting with LSS members to elucidate opportunities for society-wide improvements or simply to help in whatever way possible
Ideating and pushing for initiatives that would be substantially beneficial to the wider Life Sciences community or internal morale
All departments work on their own timeline so messages flow in everyday for our input
Ensuring society legalities are in check (e.g. drafting indemnity forms, scrutinising risk assessments, sponsorship agreements etc.) and to act on anything that is not
Basically the buck stops at you, and everything is your business

Honorary General Secretary

Involved in planning and hosting of all core-organised events
Upkeep Register of Members (that is >100 every year) and NUSync
Minutes taking at official meetings such as AGM
Tracking of events across all 6 departments and sending reminders to DVDs about submissions before deadline (that is >30 every year)
Uploading of all relevant documents to NUSync for approval by staff advisors and to track their response
All other business depending on the needs of the society

Honorary General Treasurer

In charge of all society finance related matters:
Scrutinising and approval of statements of budget (SoB), reimbursements and sponsorship agreements
Updating of balance sheet
Maintenance of bank account – we need to make sure we have enough finances not just for our academic year in office, but also beyond
Checking of DBS mailbox every month for mail from the bank, etc.
Responsible for submission of tax forms and declarations
All financial-related matters
