Day to day and responsibilities

Director/Vice Director

  • Involved as the bridge between Core and PDNA

  • First point of vetting proposals from various departments

  • Submission of proposals to Core for approval

  • Point of contact between PDNA and staff advisors

  • Drafts and updates the overall plan for the academic year

  • Maintains morale and welfare of the committee

Secretary/Treasurer

  • Management of funds and purchases within the committee

  • Meeting minutes management

  • Ensures the budgeting forms for each proposal is approved and within the limits of the committee’s funds

  • Creation of sign up forms through Microsoft Forms or NUSync

Department Heads

​Programmes and Logistics
  • Drafting of proposals for academic related events (e.g. contacting professors/alumni, scheduling etc.)

  • Procurement of logistics for events

​

Publicity and Marketing
  • Ensures publicity materials are produced on time and with sufficient attractiveness

  • Bridge between Pubs and marketing committee and programmes committee to iron out event details

Executives​

Programmes and Logistics
  • Work with the department heads to meet deadlines for proposal submissions

  • Determines the suitability of activities for the target population

Publicity and Marketing
  • Creation of publicity materials such as telegram posters and instagram posts/storie

  • Sourcing of potential sponsors for future events

To inform Year 1 to 3 Life Sciences Undergraduates about the details of UROPS and FYP, allowing them to make a more informed decision as to whether or not to take up these programmes

To organise an event for Life Science students where professors can talk about recent developments or interesting concepts in their area of expertise to pique the interests of Life Science students and to expose them to new areas of biological research.
